The Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law has been awarding Junior Academicians in Turkey for quality essays on Human Rights as part of its “Turkey Human Rights Capacity Development Programme” since 2011.
Through this Prize, winners have received support for study visit and summer school participation, in order to further their individual studies on human rights.
For this year’s Human Rights Essay Prize, we are pleased to announce that Gülden Gürsoy Ataman has been awarded for her essay entitled “It is not past at all: A truth Commission for Turkey.”
