New Library System

LOVISA BECOMES LUBCAT

The Libraries at Lund University are changing library system. In June, a new library system, LUBcat, will replace our current system, Lovisa.

Lovisa will be shut down the 7th of June at 12:00 am and LUBcat will be up and running before midsummer, the 22nd of June. During this period, services for loaning and returning books will be limited and services will vary between the libraries in the Lund University Library network. At the RWI Library this implies:

Borrow and return books – You can not borrow and return any books during this period at the RWI library. You may do so at some of the other libraries. No books will be fined for not being return during this period of transition. Our own collection will continue to be reading room litterature after the transition.

Request books – From the 25th of May, it will not be possible to order books from the closed stacks or from one library at Lund University to another.

Renew your loans – You will not be able to renew your loans during this period, but no books need to be returned between the 6th and 24th of June.

Queue on books – You will not be able to queue on books during this period.

Search for books – In the joint catalogue for Swedish libraries, Libris, you can see if any of the libraries at Lund University holds the book. You can also use LUBsearch, where you find our electronic books, journals and databases. Please ask the library if you need help finding books.

If you have any questions, please contact us or send an e-mail to info@ub.lu.se.
