26-31 August 2013 the institute was hosting an introductory course on human rights law for 26 Belarusian students who are visiting Lund.
The course was given as part of the institute’s programme “Promoting Democracy in Belarus” and gives an introduction to human rights for students from different backgrounds and with different educational experiences. During their stay in Lund the students was provided with insights into basic concepts and principles of international human rights and hopefully be inspired to pursue further studies or engagement in the field.
The course is conducted under the academic and scientific direction of Dr. Alejandro Fuentes and is taught by various experts connected to the Institute but also with the support of academics from Belarus.
