Meher Bano is a Library Assistant at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute’s Library in Lund. She has lived in Pakistan, Dubai, Malaysia and Ireland, and holds a bachelor’s degree in law from Trinity College Dublin, in Ireland. She is currently a master’s student in International Human Rights Law at Lund University. Following her graduation in May 2024, Meher worked for about a year at the Irish Refugee Council as a Legal Intern at the Independent Law Centre and as an Education Assistant Officer. Meher is passionate about human rights in general, but specifically refugee and migration, labour, gender and climate law. She also has an interest in the formation of post-colonial constitutions, particularly in relation to the rule of law. She has volunteered in various NGOs since high school and hopes to continue working in the human rights field.
