The face-to-face workshop of the Regional Blended Learning Course on Human Rights and the Roles and Functions of National Human Rights Institutions is continuing on this week in Bangkok with sessions covering topics such as “human rights of children”, “human rights of women”, “the relationship between NHRIs and the executive, the parliament and the judiciary”, and “effective complaints handling”. Furthermore, the participants present the recent achievements and challenges made/faced by their respective NHRIs to their colleagues in the group, in order to share best practices and lessons learned throughout the region.

Twelve NHRIs from the region are represented at the workshop; from Afghanistan and Palestine in west, to the newest NHRI, Samoa, in the Pacific.
