Belarusian researchers visit the Institute

As part of the ongoing academic cooperation between the Raoul Wallenberg Institute and three partner universities in Belarus, the institute is offering researchers from Belarus the possibility to conduct research on human rights at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute in Lund, Sweden during 2012, for a period of up to one month each. Following Dr Svetlana Romanova, from the Belarus State Economic University in Minsk, who visited the institute during the month of June to conduct research on Gender inequalities in contemporary societies, Ms. Ekaterina Kouznetsova, from the Belarus State University, will be conducting research on Freedom of Association and the legal status of NGOs under international law, from 22 August to 8 September. A further researcher from the Belarus State University, Ms. Elena Konnova, is to visit the institute from 9 September-6 October, to write on contemporary conception of a right to self-determination and contents of a right to environment. An additional three researchers from Belarus have expressed interested in conducting research on human rights at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute during November and December.
