
Clémence Vélon–Bazzana is a Communications Associate at RWI’s Lund office. She holds a double bachelor’s degree in Communication/Journalism from the University of Montpellier (France) and a Master’s degree in International Relations, specializing in European Union and Globalization, from the University of Paris 8 (France). She also completed a one-year specialization in Peace and Conflict Studies at Malmö University. Passionate about the issue of fundamental rights, she wrote her Master’s thesis on the defense of press freedom in the European Union, examining the EU’s capacity to protect this fundamental value. Most recently, she worked in Paris within the Communication Department of the French League for Human Rights as well as within the Press and Communication Service of the French Parliament.
