National Centre for Human Rights of Jordan (JNCHR)
RWI collaborated with JNCHR to strengthen its capacity following its establishment in 2002. Based on a prior needs assessment, initiatives included study tours for senior staff, workshops to enhance cooperation with NGOs, and training on human rights law and in effective treaty body reporting. RWI also helped develop a complaint-handling process and manual on the matter, established a human rights library, and translated key materials into Arabic. Additionally, JNCHR participated in a regional training programme where NHRI representatives exchanged experiences and discussed best practices in human rights and institutional standards.
Conseil National des Droits de l’Homme (CNDH)
In November 2006, RWI hosted a delegation from CNDH in Sweden. During the visit, experts delivered lectures and presentations on RWI’s work in the region and key human rights themes.
Independent Commission for Human Rights of Palestine (ICHR)
RWI worked with ICHR through a regional training programme focused on enhancing NHRI capacities across the Asia-Pacific. The initiative provided a platform for NHRIs to share experiences, discuss challenges, and explore ways to improve their operations. Participants gained insights into the role of the APF, human rights principles, international treaties, and standards required for NHRIs.
