Targeted countries: China, Cambodia, Myanmar, Lao PDR and Vietnam.
Since 2014, RWI has organised an annual regional initiative to support human rights research around Asia. The initiative has seen the joint effort between different RWI programmes in Asia, and this year it is open to academic partners from four different programmes: Cambodia; China; Myanmar, and Regional Asia.
Details about admissibility criteria and process are available in the respective calls for applications from the programmes below. All research should focus on relevant human rights topics in a national or regional context.
Successful applicants will receive support to develop their research during the year, in the form of workshops and mentorship. The process should result in a paper that may be considered for conference participation and/or publication in late 2016.
