Raoul Wallenberg Institute’s Intensive Training Programme in Human Rights

Opportunity for Kenya Prisons Service Human Rights Officer

RWI is offering the opportunity for a KPS HRO to participate in the Intensive Training Programme in Human Rights this year. The intensive course will bring together actors from five different RWI programmes around the world, with the overall objective to build the capacity of the participants in relation to the practical application of human rights in their respective countries. It consists of two phases:

  1. An online introductory course from 5 October – 4 November 2015
  2. A face-to-face component in Lund, Sweden from 9 November – 4 December 2015

Relevant costs for the course will be covered by RWI under the Institute’s Kenya Programme, which is supported financially by Swedish Development Cooperation. For more information, see here.

In order to qualify for the programme, you need to meet the following criteria:

– Trained Human Rights Officer

– Computer literate and with good internet access to undertake the online component

– Able to travel to Sweden for the face-to-face component

– Have read, and agree to, all aspects and conditions of the programme
