Mariia Lesina is an intern at RWI’s Lund office with a focus on wider Europe engagement. Mariia holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Politics from the University of Manchester and has a diverse professional background. Prior to joining RWI, she worked as an analyst at an ESG consulting agency and specialized in ethical AI development at a Center for AI Research. In addition to her professional roles, Mariia has been an active volunteer within human rights NGOs, which focus on supporting victims of human trafficking – an area of particular research interest to her. Being fluent in Russian and English, Mariia is currently mastering Swedish and German.
