Karolina Markusson is currently doing an internship at RWI where she will support Anna Bruce with her research. She is currently studying a Master’s degree in International Human Rights law at Lund University. Before this, she studied at the Swedish law programme for four years, also in Lund, with an exchange semester in Italy at Università di Trento.
Joining RWI gives Karolina the opportunity to learn more about the practicalities of working at a research institute, but also learning more specifically about disability rights. She came in to contact with RWI through the RWI Human Rights Clinic which developed her interest for a career working with human rights related issues.
In her free time, Karolina is an active member of the Association of Foreign Affairs as a part of the board. She is proficient in Swedish and English, decent in Spanish, and (as her previous Italian landlord would put it) very limited in Italian.
