Elisa Lunardelli

I’m Elisa, a Law graduate from Trento University (Italy) with a strong interest in the intersection between environmental stress and human mobility. My academic background focuses on migration law, international law, and environmental law, with a particular emphasis on governance and policy responses to climate-induced displacement. My research explores how legal frameworks at different levels, regional, national, and global, shape mobility in the face of environmental challenges, particularly in the Mediterranean region. At RWI, I am interning as part of the CliMig project in Lund, contributing to the development of a database of caselaw on climate migration.
Prior to joining RWI, I conducted research at Lund University’s Risk Management and Societal Safety Division and studied at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where I deepened my knowledge of human rights law, negotiation, and conflict resolution. Through my work, I aim to contribute to more inclusive and effective governance strategies for people displaced by environmental change.
