RWI Armenia Research Fellows Valentina Gevorgyan, Anna Melikyan and Srbuhi Michikyan are joining ‘Russia and the Caucasus Regional Research’ (RUCARR) for a roundtable discussion where they will share insights from their respective research work and expertise on Armenia’s Human Rights agenda. More specifically:
Valentina Gevorgyan, Assistant Professor at Yerevan State University, Department of Political Science and lecturer at University of Fribourg, Department of European and Slavic Studies, will reflect on her current research on civil society actors in Armenia as the main defenders of human rights.
Anna Melikyan, currently a Legal Analyst with the Armenia-based human-rights NGO “Protection of Rights Without Borders”, will share perspectives on the impact of fighting corruption on human rights in Armenia since 2018, based on her expertise in the field of human rights and conflict settlement for international organizations.
Srbuhi Michikyan, Research Associate at Caucasus Research Resource Center (CRRC) – Armenia Foundation will expand on examining Multidimensional Poverty in conflict affected regions and especially in the case of Syunik region in Armenia.
Moderator is Dr Katrine Gotfredsen, Senior Lecturer in Cauasus Studies, Malmö University.
