Together with the Global Business Initiative on Human Rights and Global Compact Thailand, RWI organised a workshop on climate and human rights for business practitioners. It was held as a side event at the United Nations Responsible Business and Human Rights Forum in Bangkok.
– How to conduct human rights due diligence on transition activities, including the minerals and materials needed to transition to a greener economy.
– How companies can respond to climate related migration in their operations and supply chains.
– How to join up climate and human rights teams around internal strategies and policies.
The workshop was well attended by business headquartered in Asia, Europe and North America, as well as environmental organisations, business organisations and UN agencies. The chair of the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights, Pichamon Yeophantong, also attended and provided introductory remarks.
