Professor Gina Herrmann is a Norman H Brown, Jr. Faculty Fellow at the University of Oregon. She is a scholar of Spanish literature and culture, Holocaust studies, leftist studies, and oral history. She serves as the interim director of the Harold Schnitzer Family Program in Judaic Studies and as the director of undergraduate studies for Romance languages at the University of Oregon.
Herrmann has been awarded the Martin Alexandersson Scholarship for new research about the Rivesaltes concentration camp in southern France, and it’s role as the “Laboratory of 20th Century Internment.”
