World’s Top Human Rights Programme

In today’s world, it’s essential to understand the overlapping legal frameworks and laws that affect human rights of people everywhere. We are therefore proud to present that Lund University’s Human Rights Master Programme, which the Raoul Wallenberg Institute closely collaborates with, is one of the world’s top programmes.

The LLM Guide (Master of Laws Programs Worldwide) recently announced that the Master Programme in International Human Rights Law is one of the world’s best programmes in human rights.

For more than three decades, the Master of Laws in International Human Rights Law has been a cooperative venture of the Faculty of Law at Lund University and the Raoul Wallenberg Institute.

This makes it unique since no other LL.M programme offers the joint resources of a prestigious law school and a well-known implementation-oriented human rights institution. The programme was established by Göran Melander, one of the founders of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute.

The Master programme is unique since its close relationship with the Raoul Wallenberg Institute,

which is supporting us with scholarships, guest lecturers and future opportunities, says Karol Nowak, Director of the Master programme in International Human Rights Law

Past guest speakers at the programme have included the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan, and the Nobel peace prize laureate Shirin Ebadi.
