Awarded For Building Major Asia-Europe Human Rights Platform

In connection with Asia-Europe Foundation’s Govenor’s meeting in Bucharest last week, RWI’s Deputy Director Rolf Ring received an ASEF Creativity Award 1997-2017.

This is for the work Ring has done in the organizing committee in connection with the organization of the Asia Europe Meeting (ASEM) Informal Seminar Series, a Swedish-French initiative, which has been running since 1997 and covered a wide range of human rights topic.

“It has been an honour and tremendously inspiring to work with professional and talented persons from Asia and Europe to build one of the major Asia-Europe human rights discussion platforms,” says Ring.

The next seminar will take place in Indonesia in November under the heading “human rights and violent extremism.”
