The Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Swedish International Center for Local Democracy (ICLD).
“The purpose of the MoU is to strengthen our cooperation,” says Gabriella Fredriksson, Team Leader for Inclusive Societies at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute.
Fredriksson says RWI and ICLD work in related fields and can therefore use each other’s knowledge, experiences and networks to improve on ongoing work and as well as search for new opportunities, for example within the area of human rights cities and local democracy.
ICLD is financed by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency. Their overall goal is to promote and strengthen the development of sustainable local democracy in order to contribute to a fair and sustainable global development that gives poor people opportunities to improve their lives.
