Şebnem holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations (Boğaziçi University, Istanbul) and a Master of Arts in International Relations (Koç University, Istanbul). She had previously worked at Ipsos Turkey (2013) and later at Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG) (2014-2016). Her previous experience includes youth research, monitoring and evaluation, capacity development of youth organizations, gender equality, sexual and reproductive rights, and lobbying and advocacy for youth rights. She was appointed as the Gender Equality Rapporteur of the Council of Europe’s Joint Council on Youth in March 2016 and maintained this position till the end of 2016. Currently, she works for RWI’s Turkey Programme as Programme Officer responsible for results based management and gender mainstreaming.
