Senior Programme Associate

İsmail holds bachelor of Business Administration degree (Afyon Kocatepe University), bachelor of arts in Sociology (Anadolu University) and master of arts in Gender Studies (Ege University) with research subject on masculinity and gay literature. Before Joining the Institute, Ismail worked as an accountant at couple of companies and also as a project and finance corrdinator for many years in Kaos GL, one of the pioneer LGBT rights NGO in Turkey. He served as the treasurer of Kaos GL between 2005-2008 and a member of auditing board of Amnesty International Turkey between 2010-2012. He was awarded with the Human Rights Research Grant in Turkey by the Institute in 2012, with research subject focusing on gay coupledom within the context of human rights.
