Binnur holds a degree in International Relations from Middle East Technical University, Ankara. She has engaged in post-graduate studies in sociology, including research on development critiques and on post-tsunami relief at Mahatma Gandhi University, India. Prior to joining RWI in 2011, Binnur served as a media intern at Amnesty International’s Turkey office, a coordinator for a Turkish NGO working on youth rights issues and as an associate program manager for a corporate social responsibility project in Turkey.  She has also translated a UNODC book on ‘Women and Imprisonment’.
