Apply To The Next Developing a Human Rights Toolbox Session

The next session of “Developing a Human Rights Tool Box – An international session for practising lawyers” is now open for applications. The target group for the session is as stated in the title, practicing lawyers, taking cases to court, and it is organised 28 August – 1 September 2017. Deadline for applications is 31 March 2017.

The law firm Mannheimer Swartling and the Raoul Wallenberg Institute have been conductinga the five-day human rights seminar for a number of years.

The aim of the project is to support lawyers around the world who are working to strengthen the protection of human rights.

The session will be organised in Stockholm together with Mannheimer Swartling Law Firm who will be the host for the session and cover costs for international travel as well as accommodation and board during the session.

The session will focus on two themes, anti-corruption and the right to a fair trial. These themes will be dealt with in an interactive way largely based on discussions and experience sharing in sessions lead by various experts in the fields. Please note that the course is not a foundation course in human rights/the UN system, but some previous knowledge on these issues is expected.
